LAPN Resource Efficiency ToolKit

This Resource Efficiency Toolkit was developed as a guide for local authorities and other organisations to implement waste prevention programmes, utilising the experiences and materials already produced as part of The Environmental Protection Agency's Local Authority Prevention Demonstration (LAPD) and Local Authority Prevention Network (LAPN) schemes under the National Waste Prevention Programme (NWPP).

It provides a step-by-step approach to resource efficiency and gives tips and links to the materials in the LAPN Project Catalogue along the way. In this ToolKit we focus on 3 main areas of concern - resource efficiency in Organisations; Homes & Communities; and Events & Festivals. We have also produced a very useful generic method to resource efficiency using a 9 Step Approach - this can be applied in almost any programme.
