The Nine-Step Approach to Resource Efficiency

STEP 2: Involving Actors

Depending on the type and size of the organisation and the goal of your intervention, involving different people from different backgrounds is important. In a small business this may not be feasible but even having another person to bounce ideas off can be very beneficial.

A well informed workforce or group that feels involved in the programme will be motivated to contribute and also offer time and take responsibility for particular tasks. Identifying the main actors involved at the beginning is important to help the programme run smoothly, but remember, during any prevention programme, new or interested actors may become apparent as events progress.
